Meet Dr. Benoit-Wilson

Michele Benoit-Wilson (she/her) is a board-certified Ob/Gyn who has spent over two decades taking care of women and girls. Dr. Benoit-Wilson is a graduate of Brown University’s eight-year Program in Liberal Medical Education, receiving both her Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree there. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital where she earned a number of awards prior to entering into practice.


Dr. Benoit-Wilson is passionate about women’s health and health equity. She has spent her career in service as both an educator and an advocate. She helped to lead a team of medical and non-medical volunteers to successfully vaccinate over 7,000 people during the early part of the Covid-19 pandemic, targeting hardest hit communities of color. She advocates for policies that improve the health of women and marginalized communities and is a frequent presence speaking to local and federal legislators. She is a sought-after public speaker who combines an ability to discuss nuances of health education in a way that empowers others to advocate in their communities. She is frequently asked to speak about health care concerns of women including during the 2018 Women’s Empowerment in North Carolina. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, a sisterhood committed to scholarship and service.
